After months of conversations and research around COVID-19, APA decided in early June to take its annual summer convention virtual for 2020. This was the first time in 129 years the convention was ever planned and executed in a virtual format. The design and marketing pieces at the center this year included email campaigns, social and web work, a large video and motion design effort, and directing our virtual vendors in the creation of our event platforms for a cohesive brand and intuitive user experience . All work was created on an accelerated timeline from mid June to the start of the convention (Aug 6).
